Rachel Gutner Silverstein

Rachel is an avid traveler, obsessive researcher, lover of meeting new people and explorer of lands (around the corner and faraway). She is an educator and helper at heart. For as long as she can remember, Rachel has been driven by curiosity as well as a passion for helping others. She has been fortunate to have traveled to many destinations since she was a child. However, while in college, she spent a semester circumnavigating the globe by ship on Semester at Sea. It was on this journey that she truly fell in love with travel and the desire to constantly discover (and rediscover) the world.

For Rachel, the anticipation of the trip itself — the research, the planning and meticulous itinerary creation — is often her favorite part of the travel experience. Of course, finally landing safely in the destination after a 9 hour flight, and plopping down in a beach lounge chair in the Maldives with a cold drink in hand or sitting down for the most delicious spaghetti ala nerano in Positano, are all also incredibly satisfying. Perhaps even more so, there is truly something gratifying about the dreaming, the conjuring up, and filling our minds with the experiences we look forward to having. And so, with all this said, it seemed that the only direction to go was to become the deliverer of curated travel (aka a modern-day travel advisor) for her discerning clients.

When not planning travel, Rachel spends time playing tennis, baking and cooking, and writing. Rachel currently lives with her husband, two sons and giant Goldendoodle in Westchester, NY.
